About the Author

J.C. Ferguson worked in the High Tech world for many years. She started making up stories virtually when she started talking and began writing them down shortly after. Her short stories and poems have been published in several magazines and anthologies.

 

She has published a few short stories and poems and recently won second prize for fiction and third prize for poetry in the GCWA Writing Contest. A comment from one of the fiction judges for her short story, “Judy knows her protagonist.” Another judge said, “I know how good your story is, as it was my privilege to help judge it.”

 

She also designs websites and book covers, edits and formats books for other authors as Judy Loose. She is the Webmaster for Gulf Coast Writers Association.

The Roman God Janus

Janus (ianua) is the Roman god of gates and doors, beginnings and endings, represented with a double-faced head, each looking in opposite directions. Janus the Gatekeeper has jurisdiction over every kind of door and passage and the power of opening or closing them.
